What information is provided in a Queensland Transport and Main Roads Property Search?

This search identifies potential and existing interests that the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads may have in a property, including roads, rail, busways, cycleways and airport noise. The QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads provides advice on their property resumptions and hardships policies through their website.

Mandatory Fields

Fill out all mandatory fields to order your search. Please ensure you enter a valid email address. The email address entered in the delivery details section will be used to return your result. Mandatory fields need to be filled out as accurately as possible as property identifiers will not be validated before orders are processed.

Mandatory fields are:

  • Unit/Street No
  • Street Name/Type
  • Town/Suburb
  • Postcode
  • Lot/Plan
  • Buyers full name

If you are entering a Crown Plan as the Property Description, please input the Plan Number without its associated alpha characters. For example, Lot 7, Crown Plan (CP) MCH124281 should be entered as:

  • Lot Number: 7
  • Plan Type: CP
  • Plan Number: 124281

Note that 'MCH' alpha characters have not been included.


How do I submit my plan?

Not all Property Searches will require a plan. If the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads requires a plan to be submitted, the final screen of the Property Search has a Browse button that allows you to identify and attach an imaged plan to your order. Valid file types are Tagged Image File Format (.TIF, .TIFF) or Adobe PDF (.PDF).

If you do not have an imaged plan at the time of placing your QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads Property Search you can order one directly from CITEC Confirm via the link at the bottom of the page. Alternatively you can order an imaged plan via CITEC Confirm's QLD Lands Searches or QLD Property Certificates Menu. Selecting the "Order Plan" link at the bottom of the page will open a new window. However if required you will be able to retrieve your QLD Transport and Main Roads Property Search from the CITEC Confirm Inbox, identified by the "MORE INFO" link. You will need to submit your plan within 10 business days otherwise your search will be cancelled.

All documents will be virus checked and the transaction will be terminated if a problem is identified. The size limit for documents submitted is 2MB.


How will I receive my result?

Most results will be available immediately as a PDF on the Results Summary screen or can be retrieved from the CITEC Confirm Inbox. In some cases, when a plan is required or further processing is conducted by the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads, your result will be emailed to you within 10 days. If an error occurs during processing, this may result in an ERROR link being displayed in the CITEC Confirm Inbox, if this occurs please contact the Confirm Service Centre.


Approximately how long will it take to receive my result?

In most cases your search will return an immediate result. In some cases the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads will return your result after further processing; this applies to those searches that require a copy of an imaged plan to determine whether an interest exists in the specified property.In these cases the request will be referred to the relevant area of the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads and a result should be emailed to you within 10 business days.


Can I check my order?

You can check on your order through the CITEC Confirm Inbox. In the case of an order being sent to the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads for further processing, the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads will be able to advise you on the progress and status of your search using your Property Search ID. The Property Search ID is a provider reference number and is located on your search confirmation which is stored in your CITEC Confirm Inbox.


How do I know what I have requested?

An order confirmation is displayed showing the order details and property details. We suggest that you print this receipt and save it for your records.
