What information is provided in Energex/Ergon Searches?

These agencies will provide a range of information with respect to electricity supply to the land including the following:

  • whether electricity supply is connected to the land
  • whether the electricity supply is subject to a revenue guarantee
  • whether the agency has any proposals for the land
  • whether there are any underground cables on the land

What information is provided in a Powerlink Search

This agency will provide a range of information with respect to assets and easements affecting a parcel of land including the following:

  • whether the agency has any approved future proposals for the land
  • whether there are any easements or assets on the land
  • whether there are any easements or assets within 500m of the land

Mandatory Fields

Fill out all mandatory fields to order your search. Please ensure you enter a valid email address. The email address entered in the delivery details section will be used by Energex, Ergon or Powerlink to return your result. Mandatory fields need to be filled out as accurately as possible as property identifiers will not be validated before orders are processed.

Mandatory fields are:

  • Unit/Street No
  • Street Name/Type
  • Town/Suburb
  • Postcode
  • Local Council
  • Lot/Plan
  • Owners full name

How do I know whether I need to use Energex or Ergon?

If you are unsure of which energy provider services your property, please refer to the Energex supply map. If your suburb is not listed on that document then your area is supplied by Ergon.

N.B. If your suburb is in BLUE text, it is serviced by both providers. Please call the CITEC Confirm Service Centre to confirm energy provider prior to placing your order.


How do I submit my plan?

CITEC Confirm will send an email confirming your order has been received. To ensure your order is processed please reply to this email by attaching an imaged plan of the property identified in the order. An imaged plan can be ordered directly from the QLD Property Certificates Menu.


How will I receive my result?

Energex or Ergon will email you your result directly. CITEC Confirm will email you your Powerlink result. All correspondence will be returned to the email address supplied in the Delivery Details section of your order.


Approximately how long will it take to receive my result?

  • Energex Standard searches are returned within 10 business days.
  • Energex Priority searches are returned with 2 business days.
  • Ergon searches are returned within 14 business days.
  • Powerlink searches are returned within 2 - 3 business days.

Can I check my order?

Energex or Ergon will be able to advise you on the progress and status of your search after you have submitted your plan. CITEC Confirm will be able to advise you on the progress and status of your Powerlink search. If you have not provided CITEC Confirm with a copy of your plan your order will not be completed and submitted to either Energex or Ergon.


How will I know when my order is complete?

You will receive your result from Energex or Ergon as soon as it is complete. CITEC Confirm will provide Powerlink results upon completion.


How do I know what I have requested?

An order confirmation is displayed showing the order details and property details. We suggest that you print this receipt and save it for your records.
